Directional Change
The government is aiming to cut $35 - 40 billion of spending in the new budget, agreeing that a trillion dollar deficit is the new reality. I had a good discussion over coffee this morning about whether this plan should be characterized as “still stealing from our kids” or “finally a step in the right direction.” We settled on “both” as the honest answer.
